A miscellany like Grandma’s attic in Taunton, MA or Mission Street's Thrift Town in San Francisco or a Council, ID yard sale in cloudy mid April or a celestial roadmap no one folded—you take your pick.

Photo of the Week 7/11/10
White rose blossom in my workspace Saturday, July 10th
Please check out today's post at The Days of Wine & Roses; it's the next poem in the A Few More Fold-Out Postcard Sonnets series.
Good to be reminded a rose is a rose is a rose is a rose be it in Idaho or Yorkshire.
Got me thinking all sorts of flowery thoughts. Flowers have evolved to attract bees. At what point does simple attraction (bee zeros in on flower) become appreciation of beauty (human photographs flower)?
Thanks for stopping by & sharing your thoughts. Please do note, however, that this blog no longer accepts anonymous comments. All comments are moderated. Thanks for your patience.
That is gorgeous! It's so pristine—a silent poem, really.

Hi Roy & Dominic
ReplyDeleteRoy: Thanks! Your macro shots are always superb, so much appreciated!
Dominic: Humanity's love affair with the flower seems to go way back!
Beautiful - it looks like a sculpture.
