Clouds Above the Columbia River,
Maryhill, WA Sunday, August 8th
Please check out today's post at The Days of Wine & Roses; it's the next poem in the A Few More Fold-Out Postcard Sonnets series.
Hi K: Thanks! We were over there to catch Natalie Merchant at the Maryhill ampitheater the night before--a truly great show--3 hours, including half the selections from "Lose Your Sleep."
Great sky. I think I saw that cloud over here the other day. :)
Someone (who?) once said that the sky was often special to emigres and refugees because it was the one thing that remained the same when you moved around the world.

ReplyDeleteHi Willow: It was a practically perfect day!
ReplyDeleteThe high desert sure has its own spare beauty. You caught it!

ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot - it looks like a giant chicken flapping its wings.

Hi HKatz & Dominic
ReplyDeleteHKatz: They do look rather wing-like--giant chicken clouds.
Dominic: Thanks--that's an interesting observation about emigres.
