Photo of the Week 8/1/10

Roller Skates in the Adams County Fair Building,
Council, Idaho
  Friday, July 30th

Please check out today's post at The Days of Wine & Roses; it's the next poem in the A Few More Fold-Out Postcard Sonnets series.

  1. Y'know, I never did learn how to roller-skate. But a skate-board, now that was fun!

Happy Sunday to ya, John :)

  2. Intriguing, the subjects that will make a great image in the right hands - or should I say eyes?

  3. Good work, John! A nice study in composition.

  4. That reminds me! I've had a really lazy day so far.I need To Get My Skates On !

  5. Hi Subby, Dave, Roy & Tony

Subby: I was the opposite--never skate boarded, tho I admit it does look like fun. Since I ice skated & played hockey, roller skating was pretty natural. haven't done it in many years, however.

Dave: Thanks! I do like to examine objects in photos.

    Roy: Thank you--very much appreciated!

Tony: Well, get those skates on! Have a good one.

  6. I love it... write a poem about roller derby.

  7. I got a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key! Great shot, John.

  8. Hi Lizzy & Willow

Lizzy: Glad you enjoyed the photo--roller derby poem?--hmmm.

Willow: I remember that song! Happy sunday to you & yours.

  9. I used to rollerskate a lot as a child before I broke my hand. Those were the days. I love this photograph!

  10. Hi Raquelle: Even tho I used to be a strong skater, I took a bad fall the last time I went, which I believe was in the 1970s! So glad you liked the photo.

  11. Hi Mouse: Glad you liked it, & thanks for stopping by!
