A miscellany like Grandma’s attic in Taunton, MA or Mission Street's Thrift Town in San Francisco or a Council, ID yard sale in cloudy mid April or a celestial roadmap no one folded—you take your pick.

Musical Questions – & Still They Come!
Hey everybody, you can look forward to another Musical Questions post coming up Sunday—this one featuring Bay Area guitar wizard Bernie Jungle. Bernie’s been playing since he was 9 years old, & when he takes one of his “how did he do that?” solos, you can see the fruits of all those hours of playing over the years: he seems completely integrated with his instrument & his playing.
& in fact, thanks to the magic of YouTube, you can see & hear Bernie right here on Robert Frost’s Banjo playing guitar & singing in one of my all-time favorite bands, made up of two of the best musicians I know: Bernie Jungle & Carrie Bradley, who are the two parts of The Great Auk. Eberle & I are always fascinated by duos, whether it’s Boise classical pair, The Darkwood Consort or Tin Pan Alley songsters the Heftones—but to me, The Great Auk is the best.
Anyway, make sure you check back in to read Bernie’s take on his musical journey—it’ll be posted first thing Sunday morning. This off-the-charts-talented guitar player has been in close to 20 bands since he was a lad, & has played everything from Black Sabbath to Bob Wills, with a lot of stops in between; & he’s a really talented composer, too. The song in the video, "Burr," is one of his many compositions.
