Hi Roy: Portland doesn't really get what people in the northeast, even as far south as Pennsylvania, would call a winter. It rarely snows (though it does rain a lot) & pretty serious blossoming begins toward the latter half of February.

Hmmmm... We still have bare trees being snowed/sleeted/rained upon. Even the forsythias don't dare bloom yet!
