Photo of the Week 6/10/12

Playground Structure, Peninsula Park
N. Albina Ave, Portland, Oregon
Tuesday 6/5/12

  1. Cool! Howe come they didn't have cool playgrounds like that when I was a kid?

  2. I can't believe the authors of the two previous comments find something attractive in the idea of being swallowed whole by a large green googly eyed sea monster and travelling through the long windings of its intestines. Not all leviathans spew you up still alive and kicking, if a little paler for the journey, when they're finished with you. I'd wager the playground equipment was donated by a specialist in paediatric post traumatic stress disorder.

    1. Now I think it's a nice caterpillar & its favorite flower & not a leviathan at all! But your point about leviathan is well taken! :)

  3. Such playground features are far more imaginative these days than they were in my youth when a slide was the best you could hope for.
