Or better yet some rocks so I can break them, or better yet some birds so I can follow them, or better yet some corsets so I can lace them tight around dead women’s waists, and this will resuscitate them and they’ll love me with their tiring hair, their dishevelled glances. Bring fire, so we don’t die for a glazed fig, bring fire so the Italian straw hat isn’t just a performance."

What a masterpiece. When I think about poetry the same time I think its difference wite proze becase the latter its more straight. Views on a book are more clear. Poetry is more complex. A poem should speak right to the heart. This poem does it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4821243838031243709.post-74907079837021974532009-10-27T07:40:30.548-07:002009-10-27T07:40:30.548-07:00I really like this part. When you started the series I thought it was going to be difficult. In many ways it was, but what I didn't expect was for it to be so enjoyable. I look forward to more of the same in the future.Alan Burnetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01015127443616786425noreply@blogger.com
